New York Fugitive Seized in Williamsport
New York Fugitive Seized in Williamsport - PSP Montoursville captured a Utica, New York man for absconding from parole and jailed him without incident on Monday, Nov. 7. Trooper Christine Fye said arond 5:45 p.m., State Police observed a black Toyota Solara sedan committing several minor moving traffic violations in the area of Market Street and Interstate 180. Upon further NCIC query of the vehicle, information was deveoped that the vehicle was reported stolen from Utica by Robert William Blainey. Blainey, 45, was also wanted in connection with a sexual assault and homicide being investigated by Utica City Police that occurred in Utica on Nov. 3. PSP took accused Blainey into custoy and charged him with being a fugitive from justice; he was committed to the Lycoming County Prison, Fye said. Blainey was listed as wanted by the New York State Department of Corrrections for absconding from parole in September 2011. U.S. Marshalls, the New York State Department of Corrections and the Utica Police Department were actively attempting to locate Blainey, Fye said. He is emprisoned pending extradition to New York authorities.
Counterfeit Check Discovered in Lewis Township – PSP Montoursville report an incident of theft of services which occurred Saturday, Oct. 22 at Bittners General Store. Trooper Christine Fye said between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., someone purchased merchandise and cash back totaling $1,650 using a check. It was subsequently discovered that the check was counterfeit; investigations continue.
Argument Turns Physical in Montoursville – PSP Montoursville responded to a Montoursville residence on Tuesday, Oct. 25 following a report of a verbal argument that turned physical. Trooper Douglass Hoffman said harassment charges were filed against Karen L. Pikunas, 48, and Kevin Allen Miller, 46, both of 512 Jordan Avenue.
Row Boat Stolen in Gamble Township – PSP Montoursville say someone stole a row boat as it was docked off Route 87. Trooper Buynak said Harold Hershberger, 78, of Williamsport, had tied the aluminum row boat by a rope to the dock off Route 87 at 2776 Butternut Grove Road between Oct. 25-28. Buynak said the boat was out of the water placed upside down on the embankment along the side of the dock stairway when it was removed.
Theft in Linden – PSP Montoursville report a theft in Woodward Township last Friday. Trooper Gary Beadle said someone removed money from the residence of Kim Marie Lockcuff, 52, of 175 McGill Hollow Road, Linden. Anyone with information is asked contact 570.368.5700.
Coat Stolen From Parked Car – Trooper Erick J. Barlett reported that someone removed a black leather coat from the vehicle belonging to Carol Gallo of Cogan Station. Gallo’s vehicle was in the parking lot of the Olive Garden restaurant, 1825 E. Third Street, Loyalsock Township while Gallo was out shopping on Thursday, Nov. 3, between 3:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
