Williamsport Man Incarcerated Following Multiple Counts of Drug Charges – Williamsport Bureau of Police arrested a Park Avenue man following two incidents of drug sales over the summer. Police Officer Thomas Bortz arrested Izone Jackson, of 1015-1017 Park Avenue for conducting illegal sales of crack cocaine to a confidential informant on July 2 and July 8 in the area of an unnamed alley between Fifth Avenue and Thomas Ave. Jackson was arraigned before Judge Carn and placed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15 before the Honorable James Carn.
DUI Charges Filed in Lycoming County – PSP Montoursville charged the following drivers with driving under the influence:
• Philip G. Risser, 23, 2966 Route 49 east, Coudersport, on Aug. 21, 3 a.m. in Eldred Township. Charges filed with District Judge Ken Schriner, Montoursville.
• Benjamin Arthur Fish, 26, 768 Quick’s Bend Rd., Sugar Run, PA on Sept. 2, shortly before 1:30 a.m. in Loyalsock Township. Charges filed with District Judge Ken Schriner, Montoursville.
• Carmen M. Ferrara, 43, 646 Park Ave., Lock Haven, on Oct. 22, 10:55 p.m. on Route 2014, Williamsport city.
• Lane Melburn Johnson III, 42, 1213 Memorial Ave. Williamsport, on Oct. 23, 12:40 a.m. on Route 2014 Williamsport city.
PSP Montoursville responded to the following incidents in Lycoming County:
• Sometime between Oct. 6 and Oct. 19, someone entered the basement of 1483 Mosquito Valley Road, Armstrong Township, and removed brass, fixtures, and a bicycle. Trooper Jeffrey Vilello said the items and property belong to Joseph Ross Ertel, 77.
• Between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, someone stole a playstation from a hotel room at the Econo Lodge in Loyalsock Township. Trooper Ramin said the victim, Rico Henry Thompson, 24, reported the theft at the 2019 E. Third St, room 240 business.
• On Oct. 18, around 3:40 a.m., a 26-year-old white male broke a window at the residence of Charles Eugene Wernert, 74, of 8361 Little Pine Creek Road, Waterville. Trooper Doebler said the person was involved in an assault and needed medical assistance, and broke the window to Wernert’s residence in order to use the phone.
• During the overnight hours of Oct. 21, someone damaged the vehicle of Steven Miller, 51, Montgomery as it was parked in the front yard of 1245 State Home Road, Clinton Township. Trooper Paul McGee said a foreign substance was poured into the gas tank of Miller’s 1985 gray Chevrolet Custom Deluxe pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to call 570.368.5700.
