Routine Crane Inspection Slated for Carl E. Stotz Bridge at Williamsport
Montoursville - A routine crane inspection of the Carl E. Stotz Bridge (formerly Market Street Bridge) at Williamsport is scheduled over the next two weeks.
Work will take place Oct. 24-28 as consultant inspectors review the underside of the approach structures over land with the use of a 60-ft. bucket truck.
From Nov. 2-4, they will inspect the river spans with the use of a 60-ft. bridge crane and a mobile (moving) traffic-control pattern, which will reduce the traffic to the inside lane within the limits of the traffic-control pattern.
Motorists should stay alert for these inspection activities.
This is a routine inspection of the bridges carrying Route 15 over the Susquehanna River and connecting Route 15 to Interstate 180 in the city.
The inspection will be performed by consultant Dawood Engineering.
