Flood-Recovery Project in Muncy-Hughesville Area Detailed
Montoursville - Here's another emergency flood-recovery project in the region starting on Monday, Oct. 17.
This project is to fix multiple shoulder washouts in the Muncy - Hughesville area of Lycoming County, including Route 442 from the intersection with Route 405 to the Columbia County line.
The project starts on Route 405 at the off-ramp from I-180 eastbound to Route 405 in Muncy, and extends to and includes a small piece of Route 2057 (Lime Bluff Road).
On Route 442 there are 11 locations where the shoulder and part of the road has been washed out. All these locations will be built back up with rock, sub-base material and paved shoulders.
There are some signs to be replaced, debris to be removed, and new guiderail to be placed.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-November.
