Muncy Man in Custody – PSP Montoursville took a Muncy man into custody on Sunday Oct. Trooper Michael Shipman said shortly before 4 p.m., Eric L. Doucet was traveling on a motorized scooter along the berm of Route 2104 near Old Cement Road in Fairfield Township. It was determined that Doucet was wanted on a bench warrant. Doucet was taken into custody and placed in the rear of the patrol vehicle; however, Doucet removed his seatbelt and jumped into the front seat, Shipman said. Doucet was further restrained and transported to the Lycoming County prison. He was cited with disorderly condct, Shipman said.

Hughesville Woman Arrested in Muncy – PSP Montoursville arrested a Hughesville woman last week after it was discovered she was wanted in another state. Trooper Brian Evarts said Deborah Bozarth, 46, of Hughesville was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 4, shortly after 8:15 p.m. when it was determined that she was wanted in Maryland. Bozarth was on Green Street in Muncy Creek Township at the time of arrest. She was taken into custody based on the warrant, Evarts said. Charges were filed with District Judge Roger McCrae.

Muncy Teens Uninjured in Rollover Accident – PSP Montoursville say no injuries were sustained by two teenage males when the vehicle they were traveling in was involved in an accident in Muncy Creek Township. Trooper John Maggs said shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, Derek Snyder, 17, of Pennsdale, was traveling westbound on John Brady Drive when he attempted to make a left turn onto Shadduck Road. Snyder failed to make the turn and traveled off the right shoulder of Shadduck Road, and over an embankment. The 2004 Chevy Cavalier Snyder was operating overturned and came to final rest. Snyder’s passenger, Dustin Fry, 17, also of Pennsdale, was not injured.

Mifflinburg Woman Sustains Major Injuries – PSP Montoursville reported that a Mifflinburg woman sustained major injuries following an accident on Oct. 7 in Clinton Township. Trooper Paul McGee said Teresa Howell, 56, was traveling northbound on Route 15 shortly before 6:30 a.m. when a vehicle, operated by Brandon Smith, 19, of Montgomery failed to stop for a traffic sign at the highway’s intersection with East Blind Road. Howell was transported to Geisinger Hospital. Smith’s passenger, Benjamin Stoltzfus, 17, also of Montgomery, sustained minor injuries, McGee said.
