Route 487 in Columbia County Reopening Mid-Afternoon Today Montoursville

Motorists in Columbia County are advised that the section of Route 487 in Franklin Township that was closed because of flood damage from Tropical Storm Lee will be reopened to traffic by mid-afternoon today. The contractor making emergency repairs will open the roadway to traffic between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The detour will be lifted at that time, as well. Motorists are further advised that work remains along this section of Route 487, but will be done under daylight signing starting Monday. Be alert for the work-zone activities when they resume on Monday and continue for about two weeks. There will be no work tomorrow, Friday.
