Evangelical Community Hospital Offers Flu Vaccines in October
LEWISBURG—Evangelical Community Hospital, in preparation of the flu season, has scheduled a number of flu vaccination clinics for October. They are as follows:
· Monday, October 3, Turbotville National Bank, 10 am-2 pm
· Wednesday, October 5, Riverwoods Senior Living Community, 10 am-2 pm
· Tuesday, October 11, Susquehanna Valley Mall, Selinsgrove, 11 am- 1 pm
· Thursday, October 13, Beavertown Rescue Hose Company, 11 am- 1 pm
· Friday, October 14, Hope United Methodist Church in Port Trevorton (includes other health screens), 7-11 am
· Monday, October 17, Community Health Education Center, located next to Staples on Route 15 in Lewisburg, 3-6 pm. This is a family clinic and children over six months old are welcome.
· Tuesday, October 18, West End Senior Center in Laurelton, 10-11 am
· Monday, October 24, Penn’s Creek Adult Resource Center, 10 am-noon
· Wednesday, October 26, Selinsgrove Senior Center, 10-11:30 am
· Thursday, October 27, St. John’s United Church of Christ in Lewisburg, 11 am- 1 pm
You must be at least 18 years of age to receive a flu or pneumonia vaccine at a community clinic. The cost for a flu shot is $30. Pneumonia vaccines also available for an additional $50.
Accepted insurances for these community clinics include Advantra Freedom, American Progressive, Geisinger Gold, Geisinger Health Plan (GHP), Humana, Medicare Part B, PPHN, Secure Horizon, Sterling and Today’s Option.
Please note that Senior Blue does not cover the cost of vaccinations at an Evangelical clinic, unless you are able to present a referral form from your primary care physician at the clinic.
Please bring your insurance cards to the clinic.
