First Ward Fire Company to Host LAPS Book Sale

LAPS is holding a fall book sale on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Ward Fire Company. The fire company is located at on Hastings Street in South Williamsport.

All books are priced for $1 and under; all proceeds  benefit LAPS, a 501C 3 organization, is located at 195 Phillips Park Drive, South Williamsport.

Additionally, a local business is holding a fundraising opportunity to benefit the no-kill cat shelter from now until through Monday, Sept. 19 at their store. If you purchase anything from Beiter's, 560 Montgomery Pike on these days, they will gladly donate 5 percent of your purchase (before taxes) to LAPS. Remember to have LAPS’ information with you at time of purchase so that they receive the donation.
