Evangelical Community Hospital Seeks Walkers for 2011 Heart Walk

LEWISBURG—Evangelical Community Hospital, a sponsor for the American Heart Association’s 2011 Heart Walk, is building a team of walkers and hopes to include some of the Hospital’s success stories. Graduates of the Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation program are invited to sign up to walk with Team Evangelical, and support cardiac health throughout the Central Susquehanna Valley.

“Having expanded our cardiovascular services at Evangelical, we are seeing firsthand with our patients how important heart health truly is,” Associate Vice President of Cardiovascular Services James Craven said. “We are looking to have a major presence at this year’s heart walk. My goal is to have over 200 Evangelical walkers—employees, friends and supporters, former patients, all are welcome.”

The Heart Walk will be held Sunday, September 11 at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg. Registration begins at noon and the walk begins at 1 pm.
