DuBoistown Bridge Causeway Move Starts Monday

Montoursville - The contractor building the new DuBoistown Bridge between DuBoistown and Williamsport plans to begin moving the causeway from the north side of the river to the south side on Monday, Aug. 22.

Susquehanna Supply Co. will move the rocks that comprise the causeway (work area) in the river from the Williamsport side to the DuBoistown side.

It is expected to take approximately two weeks to move the entire causeway.

There will be a short time when the Susquehanna River will be closed to boat traffic at the bridge during the causeway move; expected to be about one week. There will be message boards placed at local boat launches and buoys placed in the river to warn boaters.
