SAFE KIDS Child Safety Seat Check Set in Hughesville July 27

Montoursville - Safety organizations in Lycoming County are scheduling a free child safety seat check on Wednesday, July 27 in Hughesville.

The checks will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hughesville Fire Hall on Railroad Street.

Parents and caregivers who transport child passengers under eight years old can take advantage of certified child safety seat technicians at this check event. The majority of child seat installations are not properly set up in some way.

Each child seat may take up to 20 minutes to inspect for safe installation - infant seats may take longer. Parents and caregivers are reminded to bring their child, their child seat and vehicle manuals to the check. Child seats over six years old should be replaced prior to attending this child seat check.

Safety organizations making the event possible are SAFE KIDS Lycoming County, Hughesville Volunteer Fire Company and the Hughesville Borough Police Department
