Cash Stolen From Texas Man – PSP Montoursville report a theft which occurred on July 2 in Loyalsock Township. Trooper Schrawder said Trent Johnston, 25, of Whitesboro, Texas had nearly $300 stolen from his hotel room while he was gone for the day. The theft occurred at Best Western, 1840 East Third Street, Schrawder said, and there are no suspects in this investigation.

Retail Theft Charges Filed Against Montoursville Woman – PSP Montoursville filed retail theft charges against a 58-year-old woman on July 6 in Loyalsock Township. Trooper Schrawder said shortly before 11:30 a.m., Nancy J. Hofford concealed a garden hose nozzle and umbrella lights inside her purse and attempted to exit Kmart through the garden center without paying for the merchandise. Loss prevention detained Hofford; she was later taken into custody for attempting to steal merchandise valued at $39.98, Schrawder said.

Jersey Shore Man Damages Vehicle – PSP Montoursville report an incident of criminal mischief against a 26-year-old man after he caused over $350 in damages. Steve Randal Gutherie Jr., of Jersey Shore, damaged Melissa Chapman’s vehicle as it was parked at 47 Welker Lane in Woodward Township, shortly after 7:30 p.m., Trooper John Maggs said.

Disorderly Conduct Charges Filed in Woodward Township – PSP Montoursville cited three Linden residents for disorderly conduct on July 12. Trooper Paul McGee said state police had to respond twice in one hour to 120 Harvest Moon Park due to their loud vulgar dispute. John Bird, 57, Karen Cole, 54, and Howiena Price, 21, were warned the first time state police responded to end their dispute shortly before 7:30 p.m., McGee said. The second police response ended up in arrest of all three persons.
