Route 118 Bridge Project Traffic Switch Today

Montoursville - The contractor for the bridge replacement project on Route 118 in Franklin Township, about two miles east of Lairdsville in Lycoming County, plans to switch traffic to the temporary roadway and stream crossing today.

The switch moving traffic onto the two-lane temporary is expected to take place sometime this afternoon.

Motorists are advised to be alert to the new temporary traffic patterns through the work zone.

Nestlerode Contracting Co. Inc. is the prime contractor for this $2 million bridge replacement project. The existing bridge over Little Muncy Creek will be replaced on the existing alignment, with the new bridge scheduled to be in service by November.
