I-80 EB Crash Backing Up Traffic at Buckhorn Exit 232

1:30 p.m. UPDATE: Emergency responders anticipate they will be able to reopen I-80 eastbound near Buckhorn around 3 this afternoon. Once the eastbound lanes are reopened, the detour will be lifted.
7:45 a.m. UPDATE regarding the crash on I-80 EB near Buckhorn Exit 232 in Columbia County:
I-80 EB traffic will be detoured at Danville Exit 224. Follow the BLUE detour route signs. The detour takes Route 54 to Danville, Route 11 north to Bloomsburg and then Route 42 north back to the interstate at Buckhorn. The detour is expected to be in effect until early afternoon.
Motorists heading eastbound on I-80 in Columbia County are asked to avoid the Buckhorn area (Exit 232) this morning because of a multiple-vehicle crash there.
Eastbound traffic is getting through on the roadway shoulder, but the traffic backlog is expected to grow through the morning hours. Avoid the area this morning, if at all posslble.
