Evangelical Hospital offers help to those with arthritis

LEWISBURG — Community Health Education at Evangelical Community Hospital will be offering a self-help course for those with arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation Self-Help Program will be held Tuesdays, September 21-October 26 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Community Health Education Center, located next to Staples on Route 15 in Lewisburg. The fee for this program is $60.

Developed at Stanford University, this program is designed to inform participants about basic aspects of arthritis, teach principles of exercise and assist individuals in developing personal exercise goals. You will learn and practice pain management skills and other self-help behaviors designed to decrease stress, pain and depression.

This course is certified by the Arthritis Foundation and registration is required.  A class minimum must be met for this class to be held.
