Evangelical Community Hospital offers Highmark's 'Drop 10 in 10' weight-loss program

LEWISBURG — Evangelical Community Hospital is offering an exciting ten-week weight management program designed to help you lose ten pounds of your body weight in ten weeks through a progressive program of optimal nutrition, regular exercise and meaningful behavioral change. The course will be held on Thursdays, September 2-November 4 from 6-7:30 p.m. in Apple Conference Rooms AB, located behind the Hospital’s Dining Room. The program is taught by a registered dietitian and a health and wellness coach.

Studies show that reducing weight by ten percent can reduce the risk or improve the management of chronic disease associated with excess weight, such as high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes.

The fee is $150 for non-Highmark participants, or $18 for Highmark participants with a current insurance card. The fee is due at time of registration or prior to the first class.
