Family fishing program to be held at Camp Kresge

Sweet Valley – The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission will be instructing a Family Fishing Program at Camp Kresge’s Beaver Lake, Luzerne County on Saturday July 10th. The program will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm. This program is being offered in partnership with the Wilkes-Barre YMCA.

The program is designed for families with children ages eight and older with little or no fishing experience. Families will learn about basic fishing skills, techniques, safety, tackle and regulations. Participants will also be given the opportunity to fish together as a family.

The program is free and there will be no fishing license requirement. Equipment and bait will be provided. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Adults should also ensure that they and their children are dressed appropriately for outdoor weather.

Registration is required. Please contact Camp Kresge at 570-823-2191 to register. Directions to Camp Kresge will be provided at that time.
