Assist LAPS with Charitable Acts

LAPS is requesting that NorthcentralPA.com readers assist with two projects: the Petfinder Shelter Challenge and the Cans for Cats recycling project. 

All-Star Animal Rescue
Help The Animal Rescue Site choose which eligible Petfinder.com animal rescue organizations will receive special funds to help animals! Voting is simple: just type in LAPS: LYCOMING ANIMAL PROTECTION SOCIETY, then select your Country and State/Province. All other fields are optional and accept partial (but not misspelled or inaccurate) information. You can cast one vote every day for your favorite rescue organization.

Cans for Cats
LAPS has an ongoing campaign of collecting cans for the purpose of recycling for extra cash for our operating expenses at the shelter. Please won’t you help us out by dropping off your aluminum cans at the shelter at any time.(beverage&cat food) They can be placed outside the door and we will take them to be recycled for extra cash. No aluminum foil, please! This is not accepted at the recycling center. You will be helping the environment and helping the cats at the same time. Please tell your friends and co workers also.
