Understanding Units and Managing Bonuses and Royalties
LAPORTE -- Penn State Cooperative Extension will be holding a workshop, “Marcellus Shale – Understanding Units&Managing Bonuses and Royalties” on Saturday, February 27th, 2010 at the Sullivan County High School, Beech & South Streets, Laporte, PA in the auditorium. The meeting will start at 9:30 AM and end at approximately 12:00 noon. Speakers include Extension, legal, and financial management experts who will discuss the issues on the Marcellus shale economics, royalty payments, and money management. Topics will include how to read your royalty check, financial arrangements to optimize retained income and investment planning.
Please contact the Sullivan County Extension Office to register to attend at (570) 928-8941. Participants will have a greater understanding of the financial issues involved following the drilling of a gas well. This program is intended to inform you of the needs to address as a landowner with property held within the Marcellus Shale after signing a lease.
