Wmspt PD Receives Shin Guards from Local Harmonia Club

The Williamsport Bureau of Police would like to publicly thank the Gesang Verein Harmonia, The Harmonia Club, for their generous donation of 20 Riot Control Shin guards on Thursday September 15th at 1PM.

The Williamsport Bureau of Police, like many other law enforcement agencies across the United States, has taken notice to ongoing demonstrations that have taken place in communities across the country.  We believe that we have a great working relationship with our citizens, but we also need to be vigilant in training and equipment to address any need that would arise in the City of Williamsport, Lycoming County or surrounding jurisdictions.

The Harmonia Club was founded in 1892 and will celebrate their 125th anniversary in June of 2017. Next summer they will be hosting the German Singing Festival called “Sangerfest”. This year the club took 3rd place in the Men’s, 3rd place in the ladies and 3rd overall in this year’s competition.

The Williamsport Police wanted to publicly say Thank You to their board and membership for their support and gift.
