PSP Montoursville Theft and Burglary Report April 2, 2017

State Police in Montoursville received a report regarding a burglary at a structure at the 8200 block of Moreland Baptist Road in Jordan Township, Lycoming County, sometime between December 23, 2016 and January 6, 2017. An unknown actor broke into the structure and stole various items.

A 67-year-old Loyalsock Township woman reported being a victim of an online scam that occurred between February 18 and March 18, 2017. According to police, the woman bought a ShihTzu puppy online. Upon the original sale transaction, the actor(s) summoned more money from the victim for life insurance for the dog and additional exotic animal shipping charges. The victim paid the fees and never received the puppy. The victim was scammed a total of $1,718. There are no charges pending due to lack of solvability factors. 

In Upper Fairfield Township, an unknown actor pumped $45.72 worth of regular unleaded gasoline at 2:27 p.m. March 20 at Creekside Country Market at 4054 Route 87, and then left the scene without paying. The suspect is described as a white male with close trim facial hair and he was driving a silver Volkswagen sedan.
