Drug Overdose Leads to Man's Apprehension

Was Wanted for Absconding from Halfway House in Harrisburg

Report from Old Lycoming Township Police:

On March 1, 2017 at 9:30 p.m. Old Lycoming Township Fire/EMS and Police dispatched to a residence at the 1900 block of Sweeley Avenue in Old Lycoming Township for an unresponsive drug overdose patient.

Police and EMS arrived and found Kyle Lee Barnett, 31, had overdosed on heroin. He was being revived by family members who had administered the drug Narcan.

Police subsequently learned that Barnett was wanted by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for absconding from a halfway house in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Barnett was transported to the hospital where he was medically cleared and then placed in Lycoming County Prison on a parole detainer.
