Out of Africa: Thesis research takes Schreyer Scholar to Madagascar

After working in an archaeology lab her first semester on campus, senior Kate Thompson conducted her thesis research on lemurs in Madagascar this past summer. Unlike other travels abroad led by a Penn State faculty member or in the company of other students, Thompson went to Madagascar first with her professor and then alone in collaboration with the Madagascar Biodiversity Partnership. Once there, she assembled a team to assist her with her research.
