Box Score:

Williamsport, Pa. – Cameron Perkins drove in three runs as the Cutters rallied from eight runs down to bring it to within three, but a three-run ninth was too much for Williamsport to overcome as they lost to Mahoning Valley 12-6.

Perkins went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI, while Chris Serritella finished 3-for-5 and drove home two in night that started off tough once again.

Delvin Perez gave up five runs in the first inning and Andre Kinder allowed three more in the fourth as Williamsport found themselves in an 8-0 hole for the second straight night.

But this time, the Cutters would start a rally.

Cameron Perkins drove in his first run in the fourth, singling home Brian Pointer who had doubled earlier in the inning.

Williamsport then put up four runs in the fifth. After Yan Carlos Olmo scored on a wild pitch, Chris Serritella doubled in Tyler Greene and Chace Numata. That would do it for Scrappers starter Robbie Aviles. He gave way to Josh Martin who allowed a Perkins double to score Serritella to make it 8-5.

After Kinder allowed one more run in the sixth, the Crosscutters answered back in the seventh. Perkins’ sacrifice fly to center scored Pointer to make it a save situation.

But Matt Sisto, who got his first seven outs in order, couldn’t keep it up in the ninth as Mahoning Valley had four straight hits and scored three runs.
