Holiday Concert to be Broadcast
MANSFIELD, PA— This year’s Mansfield University Music Department Holiday Choral Concert, “Winter Wonderland,” will be broadcast on several media outlets during the holiday season.
WVIA-TV (PBS, Scranton-Wilkes Barre) will also show the concert on Christmas Eve at 9 p.m.
WSKG-TV (PBS, Binghamton) will broadcast the concert on Christmas Day at 3 p.m.
WETM2-TV (Elmira) will show the concert on Christmas Day at 5 p.m.
Blue Ridge Cable will broadcast this year’s concert several times throughout Christmas week in the Northern Tier on Cable Channel 13 starting in Thursday, December 22 at 9 p.m.
Blue Ridge will also air the concert across its entire system in Pennsylvania on digital channel 113 on Christmas Eve at 9 p.m. and again on Christmas Day at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m.
On radio, WVIA will broadcast the concert on Thursday, December 22 at 2 p.m.
The program, produced and directed by Director of Choral Activities Peggy Dettwiler, features more than 200 musicians. It includes men's, women's, and mixed choirs singing a variety of sacred and secular music and many holiday favorites.
The broadcasts are produced and directed by MU Director of Media Services Mark Polonia and the MU Public Relations Department, with editing by Wade Spencer. The broadcast is a one-hour version of the concert’s original performance on December 3 in Steadman Theatre.
