James Parker Named VP of Student Affairs

MANSFIELD, PA— James Parker, dean of students at the University of South Dakota, has been named vice president of Student Affairs at Mansfield University.
Parker comes to MU after two years at South Dakota. Prior to that he spent seven years at Texas Christian University (TCU), first as assistant dean of campus life and then as director of student activities. He began his career at the University of Oklahoma, holding a number of positions in student life during four years there.
Parker holds a PhD from TCU and a master’s and bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma.
He was selected after a national search and will begin his duties at Mansfield on January 9.
