Dr. Renee Haynesworth '94 to Speak at Commencement

MANSFIELD, PA— Dr. Renee Haynesworth, a pediatrician in the Fairfax, VA area, will be the speaker at Mansfield University's 147th Commencement on Saturday, December 17, at 1 p.m. in Decker Gymnasium. Haynesworth is a1994 MU graduate.
“Renee Haynesworth is a true Mansfield success story,” MU President Maravene Loeschke said in making the announcement. “Her character and commitment to serving others make her a natural to speak to our newest graduates. We are honored to have Renee speak at our Commencement.”
After graduating from MU with her bachelor’s degree in Biology, Haynesworth attended the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine in Louisville, KY. In 1998, following her medical school graduation, she moved to Falls Church, VA to complete her residency training in Pediatrics at the Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children.
Haynesworth has practiced pediatrics for the past 10 years in various settings including public health clinics, private practice, a military treatment facility and her own solo practice for four and a half years.
Haynesworth is committed to serving her community by practicing at Child Health Associates in Warrenton, VA, where she is starting the first “Reach Out and Read” program in Fauquier County to improve literacy of at-risk pre-school children. She also provides care for families in Spanish, which she learned during her residency.
Haynesworth lives in Nokesville, VA with her husband Mark and two children; Sophia and Mark Jr.
