Blackberry Smoke Coming November 4

MANSFIELD, PA— The southern rock band Blackberry Smoke will perform in concert at Straughn Hall on Friday, November 4 at 8 p.m.
A five-man band based out of Atlanta, Blackberry Smoke continues to grow into the premiere Southern rock bands in the country. The group toured this summer with the Zac Brown Band and in September made their Grand Ole Opry debut.
Blackberry Smoke has also shared the stage with ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shooter Jennings and Cross Canadian Ragweed, among others.
The group has released three albums, with Little Piece of Dixie in 2009 their most recent effort.

Tickets for the concert are $15 and will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, October 11. They can be purchased at the MU Campus Bookstore in Alumni Hall, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased on-line at tix.com and will also be available at the door. All concert seating is general admission. Doors open at 7 p.m.
MU students can pick up their one free ticket starting Tuesday, October 11, in Alumni Hall, third floor mezzanine, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
The concert is sponsored by the Student Activities Office and is funded by student activity fees.
