John A. Babula, 76, of Lincoln Street, Williamsport, died Monday, December. 7, 2009 at his home.

John retired from Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Ascension Church, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Born October 8, 1933 in Windber, he was the son of John S. and Sophie Wozniak Babula.

Surviving are his sisters, Ann Cenko of Johnstown and Mary Koval of Michigan.

John was predeceased by a brother, Joseph S. Babula.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2009, at the church, 2100 Linn Street, with the Rev. Shane L. Kirby officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cantius Cemetery, Windber. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Knight-Confer’s, 1914 Memorial Avenue.
