Keener, Little League® Baseball and Softball President and Chief Executive Officer, offered brief remarks and welcomed several special guests during a brief ceremony prior to officially opening the renovated World of Little League: Peter J. McGovern Museum and Official Store, on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
Every year, the focus of the 2013 Little League Baseball® World Series is placed squarely on the players from the 16 teams that come to South Williamsport, and it is up to the 32 team hosts, known as their uncles and aunts during the 10-day series, to make sure those players have a Little League® experience that lasts a lifetime. For the first time in the history of the Little League® World Series Luncheon, we already know one team coming to South Williamsport, and now we know how all 16 Region Champions will be starting the 2013 Little League Baseball® World Series.

On Wednesday, June 5, the Perth Metro Central Little League in Perth, Australia won the inaugural Australia Region Tournament in Queensland, Australia, earning its way to compete in the Little League Baseball World Series in South Williamsport, Pa.
