Flu seasons are unpredictable. The timing, length, and severity vary each year, typically with a peak during January and February. Based on this, the Centers for Disease Control recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone six months of age and older. August saw a milestone for Evangelical Community Hospital’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation when Norman Gundrum of Lewisburg became the 500th patient to graduate from the program. Greater than the milestone though was the fact that through his twice weekly visits, Norman took control of his Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Pulmonary Hypertension diagnosis. more»

Evangelical Community Hospital’s junior volunteers recently gave back by holding a bake sale to raise funds for Evangelical Community Health and Wellness. The event, which was coordinated by the volunteers, was successful in raising nearly $700 with approximately $573 raised through the sale of goods and the rest coming from monetary donations. more»
