Flu season may have reached its peak in PA

According to a recent survey done by the CDC, over 47 states have reported widespread influenza activity.  However, the numbers also suggest that for the places that were hit the earliest—including the South and the Northeast—the season may finally be at its peak.

This past Friday, the horror movie “Mama” premiered in theaters.  Now before I give my critique, keep in mind I’m not the type of person that jumps at every little thing that pops out, but I do know a good scary movie when I see one.  And “Mama” had me intrigued up until the end.

Warriors finish season with best record in 40 years

In the 1964-65 swim season, the team finished with a record of 11-1.  This year’s group of warriors didn’t win eleven straight meets, but they did win 8 and Saturday the Warriors swept both the men’s and women’s meet to finish their season 8-1 overall in the MAC conference.

The football team handed out awards on the evening of Jan. 12 at the 34th annual football awards banquet.  Tri-captains and seniors Nate Oropollo, Cody Moyer, and Parker Showers walked home with the highest accolades a Lycoming College Football Warrior could receive.

The Williamsport Outlaws have played 37 games so far this season and they are sitting in second place with 61 points.  The Dayton Demonz are in first place with 75.  The season is half way over and with North America’s first ever All-Star game in the books, the chase is on to finish strong and clinch home ice advantage in the playoffs.

Last weekend, I had an unfortunate hives breakout on my legs.

Naturally, I was freaking out because I couldn’t pinpoint the cause of this rash, seeing as I hadn’t consumed any peppers (the only thing I know for certain that I am allergic to) and they appeared overnight with virtually no changes in my everyday life.
