First Ward Fire Company to Host LAPS Book Sale

LAPS is holding a fall book sale on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Ward Fire Company. The fire company is located at on Hastings Street in South Williamsport.

All books are priced for $1 and under; all proceeds  benefit LAPS, a 501C 3 organization, is located at 195 Phillips Park Drive, South Williamsport. more»

Rabies Clinic Benefits LAPS

A clinic offering inexpensive rabies shots will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Clinton Twp Fire Hall, Route 54, Montgomery.

The cost for the vacinantion for cats and dogs is $8 each. The clinic benefits Lycoming Animal Protection Society, a no-kill cat shelter.

Baby Yorkie’s Update: Healthy and Ready for Adoption

Baby, a young Yorkshire terrier, was surrendered to Robin Landgrebe on Aug. 6th by his owner.  It was apparent that Baby had several health issues.  Then 11 weeks old and only weighing 1 pound, he was diagnosed by Dr. J. Pardoe of Loyalsock Animal Hospital with liver shunt disease.
