At Susquehanna Health, surgeons use the automated HANA table specially designed to improve the outcomes of anterior approach hip surgery, along with several other orthopedic procedures. This table allows a surgeon to precisely position a patient’s hip for surgery, enabling the surgeon to accurately position the replacement components for proper hip joint mechanics. Special instruments and implant components allow for less tissue disruption which can shorten the healing process. Other procedures include pelvic fractures and hip revisions.
Williamsport, PA, November 7, 2011 – Thanks to surgical techniques and technology increasing numbers of patients in North America are receiving hip and pelvis surgery that protects tissue, offers faster recovery, allows for more accurate placement of medical implants and reduces post-operation restrictions compared to traditional hip surgery. more»
