At the United States Collegiate Archery Championships in Cedar City, Utah, this past week, Pennsylvania College of Technology sophomore Kendel F. Baier (Jersey Shore) dominated women’s bowhunter to take the national title in the individual competition. 
Five Penn College baseball student-athletes made the grade as they were named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic Team. The team, announced at the championship banquet, is comprised of players that have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher and are academically a sophomore or above. 
Penn College’s Katie L. Kratzer, of Selinsgrove, has been named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Softball Newcomer of the Year for her efforts as a rookie in the 2013 season. She was also named First-Team, All-Conference.
