Cabin broken into and vandalized and other incidents

Unknown actors broke into and vandalized a cabin in Cummings Township between May 1 and June 6, according to state police. 

Approximately $100 worth of clothing was missing and $1000 worth of damage was done to the cabin, reports said.

Motorcycle crash near Montgomery claims 2 lives

Wednesday evening, at 9:40 PM, Clinton Township EMS got a call for a "motorcyclist down" on Route 405 just northeast of Montgomery Borough, near the jersey Shore State bank office. When the first crews arrived their tone turned somber as they requested the County Coroner be called for 2 victims of the crash. Man injured in motorcycle crash

A Hughesville man was injured in a motorcycle crash at  2:15 p.m. June 17, state police said. 

Nathan Kepner, 32, was traveling on Maple Lane in Wolf Township when he lost control of his motorcycle, causing it to overturn and land on its side in the center of the eastbound lane. Police cited animal in the roadway as the cause of the accident.  more»

Bear in road causes crash

A crash occured at 11:05 p.m. June 14 when a bear entered Route 220 in Woodward Township in front of a vehicle driven by Ahmad Ahad, 37, of Lock Haven, according to state police. 

The vehicle struck the bear and pulled onto the north berm of the roadway. The deceased bear fell on the side of the roadway.

No one was injured during the crash as a result of the crash.  more»
