Evangelical Community Hospital employees and volunteers wore red on Friday, February 1, 2013 to show their support of heart health awareness, prevention, and treatment in honor of American Heart Month. Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer in the United States, causing 2,200 deaths each day. Wearing red was an outward sign of Evan’s employees that heart health is important in fighting cardiovascular disease.

Throughout the month of February, Evangelical will be holding events and screenings addressing heart health as part of its Rock Red for Healthy Hearts initiative. All of the events are open to the public and community members are encouraged to take part in the free and low-cost screenings that are part of Rock Red. more»
