Update on Route 6 Closure, Detour Near Troy Tentatively Scheduled for Monday
4:05 p.m. UPDATE: Route 6 is open to a single lane. Both lanes are expected to be back in service with normal traffic patterns by 5 o’clock tonight
Montoursville – Motorists in Bradford County are advised that Route 6, about one-half mile west of East Troy, is tentatively scheduled to be closed for up to three hours Monday morning, Jan. 10, to facilitate the recovery of a tracked drilling rig that fell off the lowboy hauling it earlier today.
The recovery of this large piece of equipment will take place Monday morning starting around 8:30, weather permitting. Route 6 may be closed until late morning on Monday.
A detour will be in effect using Route 14, Springfield Road and Berwick Turnpike.
Motorists are advised to allow additional time if they are planning to travel between Troy and Burlington Monday morning.
