The Williamsport Bureau of Police would like to announce that authorities in High Point North Carolina have taken Rashwan Jeffrey Williams into custody moments ago. Williams is the individual charged in connection with the June 1st shooting death of Aaron Cody Lowry of North Carolina outside the Lamp House Hookah Lounge in the 400 block of West Third St.
The Williamsport Bureau of Police would like to thank the numerous law enforcement agencies that have joined us in the exhaustive efforts to see to it that Williams was captured swiftly. These agencies include the Pennsylvania State Police, The Lycoming County District Attorney's Office and Mr. Linhardt, The United States Marshalls Service, The Danville Police department in Danville Virginia, the High Point North Carolina Police Department, and any others who offered assistance in this investigation.
Once again members of the Williamsport Bureau of Police Criminal Investigation Division worked diligently and tirelessly following up leads and sifting through information, quickly identifying the individual responsible for this senseless act and bringing all available resources to bear to bring closure to our local community and our guests. Pertinent further information will be provided as it becomes available. Please bear with us as we arrange for the extradition of Williams and gather further details surrounding his capture from the authorities involved. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we closed in on his whereabouts and worked to bring this to a safe conclusion.
