River Crests at 20 Feet

The West Branch of the Susquehanna crested Tuesday at 20 feet, while creeks and streams flooded banks throughout Northcentral Pennsylvania. Dozens of roads and some area bridges were closed by PennDOT because of flooding conditions. Inspections are scheduled and motorists are warned to avoid traveling these marked roadways for safety reasons.

Montoursville - The following state roads are currently closed due to flooding:

Columbia County
SR 4023 (Spruce Run Road) in Madison Township, near the intersection with Route 4025;

Bradford County
SR 1014 (Tewksbury Hollow Blacktop Road) in Tuscarora Township, single-lane restriction;

Lycoming County
SR 4001 (Little Pine Road) in Pine Township between Little Pine State Park and Route 287;

Sullivan County
SR 2002 (Nordmont Road) in Davidson Township between Route 220 and Nordmont;

SR 2008 (Christian Camp Road) in Davidson Township;

Union County
SR 1005 (River Road) north of Lewisburg between Wolf Field and River Woods Nursing Home.
