Record Turn Out for Polar Bear Plunge

LEWISBURG -- Many Bucknell University students and faculty took the Polar Bear Plunge into the Susquehanna River at the St. George Street Boat Launch during the seventh annual Heart of Lewisburg Ice Festival. In fact, a record number of Bucknell University students and staff – 120 as of Jan. 29 – had registered to participate.The registration fee was $20, with funds raised to benefit the Lewisburg Downtown Partnership.
