MUNCY-The 11th annual Irv Zablocky Memorial Run registered over 200 participants this year, a representative of the event said.
"This is the highest number of runners we've ever seen," said the sister of the late Irv Zablocky, who passed away 10 years ago. In his memory, the run was dedicated as a tribute to the runner, who was also known as "Z-Man" by his fellow runners.
Winner of the 3.5 mile race was KC Shaner, who personally knew Zablocky and was running with him the day that Zablocky passed away. Also among the crowd was Rep. Garth Everett, who, along with Shaner, is a member of the Oregon East Running Club that organizationally formed in 2008.
