Manage Marcellus Shale Royalty Income
Penn State Cooperative Extension will be holding a workshop, “Marcellus Shale – Potential Royalty Income and How to Manage It” on Tuesday, January 19th, 2010 at the Tioga County Fairgrounds, 2258 Charleston Rd., Wellsboro, PA.
The meeting will start at 7 p.m. and end at approximately 9:30. Speakers include PSU Extension, legal and financial management experts who will discuss the issues on the Marcellus shale economics, royalty payments, and money management. Topics will include how to read your royalty check, financial arrangements to optimize retained income and investment planning. A question and answer period will follow the presentations.

Participants will have a greater understanding of the financial issues involved following the drilling of a gas well. This program is intended to inform you of the needs to address as a landowner with property held within the Marcellus Shale after signing a lease.
