Fourth of July’s Set the Night to Music Itinerary

Celebrating 16 years downtown, the City of Williamsport, along with Backyard Broadcasting, will host the Set the Night to Music Fireworks Celebration Monday, July 4 starting at 3 p.m. downtown. The celebration features music, vendors and food. Fireworks begin at 9:40 p.m. and will be choreographed to patriotic music airing on WILQ fm 105.1, WZXR fm 99.3, WCXR fm 103.7 and WBZD fm 93.3. Prior to that, the American Flag will be raised at 10 a.m. by Sergeant 1st Class Chris Lownes PA Army National Guard and the Young Marines.

The entertainment is as follows from 3 p.m. till 10:50 p.m.: Lumpy Gravy (Eclectic Rock); R-Way (Rock and Country); Miss Ida and the All Nightaz’ (Blues); Uptown Music Collective (Rock 40); J.R. Scott (Acoustic); Skinny Rinkus (Alternative Rock); Jack Hoffman (National Anthem); Dead Flowerz; Mike Lewis (formerly of WNEP TV 16); CAPPA Showcase; Keith Randall Band; and Clyde Frog.

Free shuttle service will be available every 10 minutes from city lots starting at 6 p.m.  The following streets will be closed from 12 p.m. until 11 p.m.: William and Via Bella, William and Third, and Church and Pine streets.  In addition, the Market Street Bridge will be closed to all traffic from 8:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.

Residents are advised no pets, rollerblades/skates, bicycles or skateboards are permitted within the event area.
