Bonnie Brown Named PennDOT District 3-0 Employee of the Year for 2011
Montoursville - Bonnie Brown, Clerk Typist II for the Maintenance Unit, has been named the PennDOT District 3-0 district office Employee of the Year for 2011.
Bonnie is an invaluable asset to the District 3-0 Maintenance Unit. She provides quality and courteous customer service to her co-workers and external customers. She has a friendly smile every day, even when answering the phone.
Bonnie receives numerous customer concerns on a daily basis which are logged into the Customer Concern Center system to ensure timely follow-up. Bonnie is always looking to meet the needs of district maintenance staff by completing timely letters while balancing everyday duties of the maintenance secretary. She is always willing to help other units in time of need or staffing shortages and puts others before herself. She is very dedicated, loyal and an employee who can be counted on.
The workload within the maintenance unit has significantly increased over the past year because of the Marcellus Shale gas drilling activity. She has provided guidance to other clerical employees helping with maintenance unit workload to complete tasks at hand and on time.
Bonnie Brown, a 4-year PennDOT employee, lives in Montgomery with her husband Rodney. They have a son Steven and a daughter Margot.
The district office Employee of the Year is selected from the 12 employees of the month for the previous calendar year. More than 270 people work out of the district office in Montoursville.
