The Mayor of Williamsport is offering a reward for information about the recent strong arm robberies.

Williamsport Mayor Gabriel J. Campana today announced that a $1,000.00 reward is being offered to anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the person (or persons) responsible for a series of strong-arm robberies in the city over the past several weeks. Campana stated: “While an intense investigation of these robberies continues, we believe one or more citizens in the community may have critical further information about who is committing these crimes and we want to hear from them.”

Anyone with such information may call the Williamsport Police Department’s confidential tip-line at (570) 505-9355 and the caller’s name will remain confidential. The Mayor said: “We believe most, if not all, of these random robberies are linked. We intend to bring the person or persons responsible to justice and will seek the maximum penalties under the law. The perpetrators are punks and I am confident they will be caught.
